Terms of Sale
Last updated 7 August 2026
These terms govern every order placed with Optirama Optics through this website. By completing checkout you accept them. Nothing in these terms removes or limits the rights Egyptian consumer protection law gives you, in particular under Law 181 of 2018.

Orders and contract formation
Submitting the checkout form is an offer to buy, not a concluded contract. The contract forms only when we send you an order confirmation email quoting your order reference. Until then we may decline the order — for example if the item is out of stock, if we cannot verify your details, or if a price was listed in obvious error. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Before paying you can review the full specification of your order, including frame, lens options and prescription, and correct any input error by returning to the previous step.
Prices, taxes and currency
- All prices are shown in Egyptian pounds (EGP) and are the total payable for the goods, inclusive of value added tax where it applies.
- Delivery charges are shown separately and added at checkout before you pay. The order summary shows the full amount that will be charged, with no fees added afterwards.
- We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already confirmed.
Payment
Payments are processed by Paymob, a payment service provider licensed by the Central Bank of Egypt and certified to PCI DSS. We accept the methods shown at checkout, which include Visa, Mastercard and Meeza cards and mobile wallets.
- Card details are entered directly into the payment processor's environment. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Card transactions are authenticated using 3-D Secure. Your bank may ask you for a one-time password.
- Payment is taken at the time of order. If authorisation fails, the contract does not form and the order is not processed.
- All transactions are settled in Egyptian pounds. If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuer sets the conversion rate and may add its own fee.
Delivery
We deliver across Egypt through our courier partners. Orders are delivered within 5 to 10 working days. Timeframes are estimates rather than guarantees:
- Delivery time
- 5–10 working days from the date the order is confirmed
- Coverage
- All governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt
- Delivery charge
- Calculated by destination and shown at checkout before payment
We will tell you if a delay is unavoidable. Where delivery is materially later than the estimate given at checkout, you may cancel and receive a full refund including any delivery charge paid. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your order on arrival and tell us within 48 hours if anything arrived damaged.
Cancellation, returns and refunds
You may cancel an order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it, in line with Law 181 of 2018. You do not need to give a reason. After that 14-day period has passed, we no longer accept returns or exchanges except where the goods are faulty or covered by the warranty below. To start a return, use your account page or contact us with your order reference.
- Goods must be returned unworn and undamaged, in their original packaging and with all accessories.
- Every returned item is inspected on arrival. If it is not in the same condition as when we delivered it — worn, scratched, altered, or missing parts — we may refuse the return or reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value, and we will explain which applies before doing so.
- We refund the price of the goods and the standard delivery charge you originally paid. The cost of returning the item is yours unless the item was faulty or not as described.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method — we cannot refund a card payment in cash, as required by Visa and Mastercard scheme rules.
- We process refunds within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Your bank may take a further few working days to show the amount.
Exchanges and repairs follow the same route. Once we have received the item back and completed our inspection, we deliver the exchanged or repaired item to you within 14 days.
Two categories are excluded from the change-of-mind right, because they are made to your individual specification and cannot be resold. This exclusion is permitted under Law 181 of 2018 and does not apply where the goods are faulty, differ from what you ordered, or do not match the configuration saved with your order:
- Custom frames built in the configurator, once production has started — normally 24 hours after your order is confirmed. Cancel within that window and you receive a full refund.
- Prescription lenses cut to your measurements, for hygiene and made-to-measure reasons.
Prescription accuracy
We cut lenses to the prescription you supply, so please check it carefully before ordering. We are not responsible for a prescription that is out of date or entered incorrectly. If your prescription is less than two years old and the lenses we supply do not match it, we will remake them at no charge. We may ask to see the written prescription before remaking.
Warranty and faulty goods
- Frames carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.
- Lens coatings carry 12 months against delamination and crazing.
- Adjustments and refitting are free for the life of the frame at any of our stores.
- The warranty does not cover accidental damage, scratches from normal wear, or damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products.
If goods are faulty, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. This is in addition to the 14-day cancellation right above, and is not limited by it.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access. We may suspend an account used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
Use of this website
The site, its 3D models, photography and text belong to Optirama Optics or our licensors and may not be copied or reused commercially without written permission. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent its security, or extract data from it by automated means.
Our liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. We are not liable for business losses, loss of profit, or loss arising from your failure to follow fitting or care instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any liability that Egyptian law does not permit us to exclude.
Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, contact us first at info@optiramaoptics.com or +20 2 2403 3740. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days. You may also refer a complaint to the Consumer Protection Agency (جهاز حماية المستهلك).
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
