Optirama began in 1997 with an idea that did not exist in Egypt at the time: immediate delivery of prescription glasses. Nearly three decades later, that is still what our own lab is built to do.
The beginning

The story began with years of experience and expertise in Europe, specifically in France and Italy, where the founder, Mr. Ahmed Bassiouny (may he rest in peace), spent many years with a deep passion for understanding the origins of the eyewear industry and its finest details, before returning to lay the foundation for this established entity in 1997.
In 2021 his son, Mr. Mohamed Bassiouny, took over management after 16 years of practical experience in the field, upgrading the laboratory with highly advanced equipment and technology, with an emphasis on offering the latest fashion trends and international brands.
Optirama continues its journey of development and expansion, building on its long-standing experience and enduring passion for the eyewear industry, while maintaining its values of quality, speed and comfort and delivering an exceptional experience to its customers.
